Description
An aerial shot of Leeds Castle, which is located just outside the village of Leeds, near Maidstone in Kent, England. Leeds Castle in Kent, England claims to be The Loveliest Castle in the World. A fortification of some sort has been here since 1119. In the 13th century it became a royal palace with King Edward I, having it as a favourite place to stay. It was then used by Henry VIII to house his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. Today's buildings mostly date from the 19th century.
